a). Journal from 1884 written by a Petrolia area oil man. Most entries are about the weather and oil well activities. On September 22, he notes," Sold Petrolia Store to E. Archer for $1350. Fawcett's Bank closed tonight, too bad, about $2000 lost." In notes from 1883 in the front he stated that 1883 on th whole was the poorest year so far as crops were concerned since 1816. b).
