The Mystery of "EH" |
Scope & Content |
An article titled "The mystery of EH" written by H.J. Clemens, which was published in an original survey map from the Department of National Defence. In his explanation the "EH" on maps stood for "Engine House". They were buildings scattered around containing engines which drove a series of push/pull rods attached to "T" type posts, and these, in turn, operated pumps at oil wells as they snaked their way through the oil fields. |
