By-law No. 73 passed February 11, 1873 at the Village of Oil Springs to grant the sum of four hundred dollars to the, "Wyoming Rock Oil Company" , for the purpose of testing the territory known as the, "East Gum Beds", in the Township of Enniskillen in the County of Lambton. The company was to sink a test well to the depth of twelve hundred feet from the surface or in the event of a good paying oil well to a depth of at least 1000 feet. |
