Letter written from Queensland, Australia by International Driller, Archie Growder, to his brother Peter Growder letting Peter know that he will not be giving him any more money to help with the farm because he cannot afford to do so anymore. Archie fell ill during his time drilling in "the East" and cannot afford to pay anymore money for the farm since he had to take some time off to recover from his illness. Archie also tells Peter that his wife, Kathie, and their son will be travelling to Brisbane, Australia for a couple of days and that they want to send him some hen eggs so that he can see how large they are in Australia. A transcription of this letter is available in the media file and the accession folder. |
