Township Tavern License No. 772, issued by the Province of Ontario. Statutory Duty of $60 to George Barnes of the Oxford House in the Village of Oil Springs. Issued by R. C. Palmer, inspector and countersigned by A. MacLean, E.M. Proctor and N.H. Hammond. Dated in Sarnia on April 29, 1879. Printed on white paper with black and red lettering. A coat of arms is near the top. 1878-9 is printed in large red numerals over top of the black printing of the body of the document. It has a black border with fancy corners indented from the edge. |
