Title |
Chapman's Agricultural Note Book |
Scope & Content |
Grey hard cover note book with green fabric at the spine and two silver rings as binding. At the top in black is the slogan of the publisher, "The Chas. Chapman Co.," with a black crest below this. Underneath the crest in black is the title of the notebook with a black and white image of "Ontario Agricultural College, Guelph" below the title. Underneath this is a line for the school, on which "Oil Springs" is handwritten. Below that line is a name line which has "Donald Wallace" handwritten in black ink. At the bottom is more information about the publisher. At the beginning of the book are papers from Chapman's for advice on how to use the book concerning note-taking and labels. The next pages are of various colours and would be used as score cards for various farm animals. Only the first one, the one for mutton sheep, has black ink scoring on it. The first section of papers after the score cards are lined and have various handwritten notes on them, with some images drawn and pasted in. The back half of the book acts more as a scrapbook with various black and white images pasted in, organized according to the title cards. The back cover is plain. |
