A Canadian Oil News periodical published by the Oil Trade Journal in March of 1918. This is a special War number edition of the periodical and has a picture of a red flag with a white rectangle and blue stars in the center of it with the caption "our service flag" underneath it. There are smaller flags belonging to the Great Britain, the United States of America and France. There are advertisements for En-Ar-Co oil on the inside of the periodical and they act as a form of propaganda by telling readers how the Canadian Oil Company has contributed to the war effort. There are many different poems and rhymes written in this periodical, all of which help to advertise Canadian Oil Limited products and services. There are hand drawn black and white graphics on the inside of the periodical to accompany the advertisements. This periodical was mailed to a Mr. E. Munson of Glenco, Ontario. |
