On the letterhead is the following: Sherman House, John Knittel, Proprietor, Oldest Established House in Town. Rates $1.00 per day. Telephone in connection. Every accommodation for travellers. Dated: Oil Springs, Ont. Sept 14th 1895. Message: Mr. J.S. Simmington. Please find inclosed five Dollars past pay on [?] and give me credit and also let me know how much taxes is on that fifty along side of me for I think that be alough as I can get out of that [crap] this year. and oblige yours John Knittel |
