Pad of six egg grading slips from the Enniskillen Creamery located in Oil Springs, Ontario. In the summer of 1933 the former Baptist Church in Oil Springs was leased for $1.00 for 99 years to be used as a creamery by Fred Powe and on December 1, Leon Kaufman purchased and conducted a creamery in the building until it burned in 1946 operating under the brand name Enniskillen Creamery. By the following year it was replaced with a concrete and brick building and it housed the creamery, egg grading, and meat market. The creamery portion was closed in 1965 and in 1967 the owner, Rudy Krall, moved the egg cracking and freezing operation to his farm on Shiloh Line. |
