Oil Springs Chronicle newspaper dated June 24, 1897. Weekly newspaper from Oil Springs, Lambton County, printed on both sides. Tag line printed under the title is: "And the rock poured me out rivers of oil"-Job. It is said, that this passage from the Bible was quoted by Mr. Shaw when he hit the first oil gusher. The newspaper was established Feb. 19, 1862 by J.S. Gadd. This is Volume 12, number 20. The cost was $1.00 per year in advance. Printed on paper label on left top corner: Jackson SG, 8 sept 97
