Yellow hard cover book with brown fabric on spine. The front cover has a black line design similar to veins in rocks. A white sticker almost centered on the front has a black border in a pattern that is similar to mini flower pots. Typed at the center of this sticker is "Assessment Roll Township of." Handwritten in the empty spaces is "1880" and "Oil Springs." The pages are grey, with a chart printed in pink. The first few pages are empty. Typed at the top on the left side is "Assessment Roll For The" and handwritten on the right is "Village of Oil Springs." At the top left corner, "For 18" is typed, while "80" is handwritten on each written page, marking the year as 1880. Handwritten in the chart is information about the inhabitants of Oil Springs, including their occupations, address, owner of the land they live on, where they live and their taxable income/land. The writing in this book is done in either black or red ink. Only about half of the book is filled. |
