Headlines on the front page are: "People-smuggling 'worse than slave trade'", "Oil pump blast kills two", "Japan stockpiles crude", "Royal decree gives traditional pardon for minor offenders", Gulf expected to defy Lloyds' demand for "war risk" premium", "Britain to send envoy on tour of Gulf", "Oil chiefs to meet", and "Envoy's grandson safe". A photo of the Aramco's Ras Tanura refinery- the world's largest crude oil topping unit is in the centre of the front page. The newspaper was purchased donor's husband, Patrick Pickford, was born in Petrolia in 1941. Patrick's working career as a Stationary Engineer, Instrumental Technician and Electrician took him to many industries in the Sarnia Lambton Petrochemical Complex (Dow, Nova, Shell, Polysar, Monsanto), the Middle East (Aramco in Saudi Arabia, Oasis Oil in Libya), Petronas in Borneo and Fort McMurray. |
