Envelope and correspondence to the Oil Museum of Canada from F.W.T. Reynolds. a). Envelope addressed to: the Oil Museum of Canada, Oil Springs, Ontario, Canada, attention, Mrs. MacLachlan, curator. Written in pen on the front: re Harry M. Reynolds son of William Eugene Reynolds re jerker line. On the back is the return address, 15519 Manor Avenue, Detroit, Michigan 48238. b). Letter, dated July 29, 1969. Talks about the inventer of the jerker-line which is claimed to be his uncle William Eugene Reynolds. c). Photocopy of the Advertiser-Topic July 13, 1933, article in same paper, titled, Petrolia in 1884 which lists all the businesses, councillors, school board members, teaching staff and churches in operation. d). Photocopy of letter to the editor, Petrolia Advertiser-Topic, July 13, 1933. Written by Richard Callinan. It talks about the origin of the jerker wheel and the actual inventor, which was named as W.E. Reynolds. |
