The August 1951 (Vol.35, No.2) edition of Imperial Oil Review. The cover features a black and white image of a cargo ship named "Imperial Leduc" on a river. This is the first Western oil coming into Ontario and the picture shows the ship near Sarnia. The name and edition of the magazine is in black and white at the top in a blue rectangle. "1st Oil Reaches Ont. 1951" is written in blue ink below the title on the right side. Inside, there are various oil related articles with black and white photos as well as black and white illustrations. This issue largely focuses on Western oil and its arrival for the first time at a Sarnia refinery. There is also information about the company and personalities throughout as well. The back cover features a black and white picture of a life boat drill on the "Imperial Leduc." The caption is in black font in a blue rectangle at the bottom left. |
